SUSE Cloud 5: considerations about cloud-init, meta-data, user-data and config-drive

This article refers to a SUSE OpenStack Cloud 5 environment. Both, admin and control node run with SLES11 as does one of the two compute nodes, the other compute node runs with SLES12.

Setting fixed addresses for fixed addresses

I’m working in a SUSE Cloud 5 environment consisting of 4 nodes, one admin node (VM, SLES11), one control node (physical, SLES11) and two compute nodes (both physical, one with SLES11, one with SLES12). The OpenStack version is Juno.
