SUSE Cloud 5 repositories

Currently, I am working in a test environment for SUSE Cloud 5 consisting of three nodes: 1 admin, 1 control and 1 compute node. Compute runs with SLES12, the other nodes with SLES11-SP3.
I had some troubles setting up the repositories correctly, that’s why I wanted to share my experience and my current settings. This post is divided into two parts because in my first attempts I had a setup with a remote SMT-Server. Meanwhile, I use SUSE Manager to provide the update repositories. Continue reading →

How to reinstall SUSE Cloud

This post refers to SUSE Cloud 5.
I have a test environment consisting of four nodes: 1 admin node, 1 control node and 2 compute nodes.
While you are trying to set up your cloud environment you could be facing different issues from time to time, some of them will require to install the cloud from scratch because of misconfiguration or other causes.

Installing SUSE Cloud using SUSE Manager

This post refers to SUSE Cloud Deployment Guide Version 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Currently, we have a cloud 5 test environment with three nodes.
Setting up the cloud using SUSE Manager to provide update repositories can lead to frustrating errors, a little mistake in the docs is responsible for the premature abortion of the install script.
